Starting from the basics

Our documentation explains open banking concepts and what the solution offers starting with the basics. For example, key concepts including API specifications, user management, Third Party Provider onboarding, consent management, API security and Strong Customer Authentication are covered to provide users with a strong foundation. The documentation covers all the specifications the solution caters to from the UK, the EU and Australia.

API flows

In all the open banking specifications there’s at least one or more API flows set out, for example, accessing account details, processing transactions and confirming funds. WSO2 Open Banking documentation contains step by step instructions for all the major flows with all the relevant cURL commands you need, to try out the solution. The screen captures make it simple to use the solution. This is also categorized into various subsections according to each specification. See the section titled Try Out WSO2 Open Banking for more details

Deployment guide

You can simply follow the Deployment Guide and set up the solution according to your requirements. The documentation is structured in a way, you can easily access and find all the configurations under separate sections for each specification. If you want to set up the solution in your local machine for evaluation purposes follow this one-page Quick Start Guide or try out the live demo following only 5 easy steps.

The Developer Guide contains all the internal APIs we use to fulfil your Open Banking requirements. As the API documentation is publicly available you don’t need extra privilege to get to know the nuts and bolts interiors of the solution.

Helping you get under the hood

WSO2 Open Banking is a flexible solution that allows you to try out extensive customizations. For example, see the sections titled Adding Custom Authenticators, Customising Key Manager extension or Customising the Consent Page of the Authorise Flow if you want to play with the extension points where you can mould the solution to cater your unique requirements.

WSO2 Open Banking complies with several functional and security conformance suites. We have provided documentation to help you configure and run the conformance suites and to verify the results yourself as well.
